BIOGRAPHY

A little bit about Me.

Hello!

Pleased to meet ya!  My name is Thatch Elmer, but you can call me  Cowboy Thatch, the Bear River Buckaroo!

I am 11 years old and I am a Cowboy Poet!

I was born in Evanston Wyoming way back in 2003, and yes I was born a Cowboy!

Our family has a rich heritage of Cowboys and my ancestors were Ranchers, Horsemen, and Rodeo Cowboys.

We raise a few Horses, and I am looking forward to getting a couple Cow/Calf pair in the near future.

Along with Cowboy Poetry I have a PASSION for RODEO! I ride Mini Bulls in UMB--Ultimate Miniature Bullriding Series and I am a member of Utah 5th and Under Youth Rodeo. I also Break-a-way Rope, and Team Rope (either end)

My Horse Storm and I are looking forward to the all around buckle real soon!

I started reciting Cowboy Poetry about the time I could speak in a sentence! Dad has been writing Cowboy Poetry since he was young and I like to recite his poems, Dad is the Writer and I am the Reciter!

I also write  my own poems and I also Love reciting the Classics of Bruce Kiskaddon, S.Omar Barker, and Larry McWhorter.

I am Honored to be Published on CowboyPoetry.com

In February 2014 I Debuted my first C-D called "The First Go Round" and I am also Proud to announce that May 2014 some of my Poems were Published and Released in a book called"Cowboy Rhymes -N- Dreams of Other Times"

My favorite Cowboy Poets are of course the Greats - Baxter Black,

Waddie Mitchell, Andy Nelson, and my friend Miss Sam Deleeuw!

I really like the Classic Poems of Bruce Kiskaddon, S.Omar Barker,

and Larry Mcwhorter!

I enjoy performing and look forward to many opportunities to share my passion with you!
