SaddleStrings

“Ease into the saddle with the sounds of the SaddleStrings”

Based out of Hooper, UT, we are a cowboy band with the style of the traditional trail songs and ballads of old, but with a contemporary flair.  While we rotate lead vocal responsibilities, all four join in harmony and backup vocals as we try to portray through music, what we see from the saddle.  With all members, (Brian Arnold, Laurie Morgan, and Kurt “Snoose” and Cindy Argyle) having experience with the western cowboy lifestyle, the music is sung with feeling, from the heart and soul.

“The thing about cowboy music is that when the world is falling apart around you, it is still fun to listen to, it’s got a little spunk to it and it is always morally sound.”

If you loved our fourth album, “Ride To Get There” which was listed among the Top 100 Most Played Cowboy/Western Music Albums for 2011, in the Western Music Association (WMA), as well as being in the Top 100 Cowboy/Western Music Artists, then you will truly enjoy our current project, “Pirates of the Sage”.

Fans have said about our albums…

“You don’t get tired of listening to it.  It’s like pushing the random button on the stereo with several of your favorite CD’s in the player.”

Along the way, SaddleStrings has recorded and produced all of their albums, and have been nominated for several awards in the WMA, and the AWA, and most recently have been awarded the Golden Note Award from the Cowboy Poets of Idaho (CPI).  We are proud and honored to be a part of these nationally and locally recognized and well respected organizations as well as the fine western music and cowboy poetry entertainers.

We were honored to be invited to perform for the National Governor’s Convention, held in Salt Lake City, in 2011.   It has also been our pleasure to perform at the Huntsman Institute’s annual fundraising gala for the last 5 years.  We are proud to have supported the Huntsmans, chapters of Walk For Life and many others, in the fight against cancer, over the years.  SaddleStrings was a part of the Utah Performing Arts Tour, playing at the Randall Jones Theater in Cedar City and at the Union Station in Ogden.
